After multiple starts, stops, and full on cancellations due to COVID-19, this much-anticipated dark comedy by Chloé Hung's is finally here!
Synopsis: When Mother accidentally kills her husband, three generations of women must come together to solve a bloody situation. This darkly comedic play takes a look at the legacy of abuse, the power of family, and how to prevent the resurrection of a headless chicken.
Staged production originally scheduled for Spring 2020. Due to COVID-19, the production was adapted into a radio drama by CBC's Podcast, PlayME. Have a listen!
About
Chantria is a Cambodian-born Toronto-based actress, workshop facilitator and producer.
She is the recipient of multiple artist-in-residencies for research and creative development including an unprecedented project, 'Voices of the 1.5 Generation', a joint University-Community project funded by the Canada Council for the Arts. Her solo show, 'Someone Between', has presented on the Montreal, Hamilton and Toronto stages including at the Summerworks Performance Festival 2018.
She has spoken on several artist panels internationally and has been a delegate and speaker during the 2008 Forum for Indigenous Issues at the United Nations.
